FRESNO MAGAZINE UNVEILS FIRST MAKEOVER
-- Fresno Magazine to unveil Gianna Danielle Ramos as the first completed contestant of the “Fabulous at Any Age” makeover series.
Fresno, Calif. – After selecting five women to participate in full makeovers including plastic surgery, dental work, clothing, hair and makeup, Fresno Magazine is ready to unveil Gianna Danielle Ramos, at Venezia Italian Restaurant, Thursday, July 30 at 6 p.m. Businesses donating services, media and supporters will be present.
The selected women were chosen based on their stories out of a large pool of applicants. They will be featured in the magazine beginning in the September issue with Ramos’ detailed journey from applying to the contest, to completing her makeover.
Ramos, 23, is the promotions manager for FresnoMommies.com, a local non-profit group for mothers in Fresno County, as well as a stay-at-home mom. While battling post-partum depression in 2007, her mother passed away.
After her life was turned “upside down,” she found out that her baby has “special needs” and may be autistic. Through her depression Ramos also lost touch with her own needs, and now experiences severe back pain due to weight gain.
Ramos wants to regain her confidence and feel like a woman again. Her embarrassment to be in public and her avoidance of mirrors does not fit her upbeat personality.
Through the “Fabulous at Any Age Makeover,” Ramos had the opportunity to reinvent herself. Come see Ramos’ “after” look, and help launch the first of five makeovers.
